So as I read, there is no "advanced BB code manager" for vbulletin 3.8? I can only find one for vbulletin 3.6.8

Could be. But many modifications for 3.6 will work for 3.8. Read the thread and see. And if it isn't compatible, sometimes you just need to change a couple lines of code.
