new type of spam: white text links on white background hidden in posts
Is anybody else seeing this type of spam on their boards?
The post looks like this: Attachment 103896 But when you look at the edit view of the post, it looks like this: Attachment 103897 They are using the color bbcode to change the color of their text and links to white so they aren't viewable in the regular post. Is there any way to stop this? Can I remove "white" from the color options? I also have the Prevent Spam posts installed, could I add BBcode to that to block? Any other creative solutions? |

Even if you take white out of the bbcode editor itself, it won't stop them from using it since I'm sure the human or bot doesn't even use the button
The only way to stop this is always the root. Install prevention, work on having a lot of Q&A's for human verification, and get a good moderation team up! |

I have human checking options during registration...my guess is that this is done manually (for now). Is there a way to stop new members from being able to use a certain bbcode in their posts? Like to stop vb from parsing color? Any other ideas floating around? |
