group.php
Is their a better layout for /group.php?
Here is that I have: http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k9...24/Example.jpg Here is what I would like, something like the index.php page. It's got categories [like the forum categories], and it's got: -The Group name [Board Name] -Members -Messages -Pictures -Last Post with Reverse Sort Order Like this forum: http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k9...4/Example3.jpg Anyone know what I should edit? Or if their already is a template edit like this? Thanks guys. --------------- Added [DATE]1249795553[/DATE] at [TIME]1249795553[/TIME] --------------- Also, is their a mod for 3.8 that allows for Messages in the group.php?groupid=x page? I would really rather prefer Messages over Discussion. |

I have not seen any template mods for this particular page. I did one for the group page itself, but not the main group page.

Ok, could you tell me what template(s) I would need to edit?

To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.

Ok thankyou, but one more time, what template is the main template for /group.php?
Is it SHOWGROUPS? Or something else? |

The main template is listed at the top of the page source if you turn on the option I mentioned. But, each section may be a different template and you really need to take a look at the page source and see what template is listed there.

Alright, I must have been looking in the wrong space. Let me try again.
Note: I might edit this post, mind keeping an eye out? Edit: Doh, I wasn't looking at the page source xD Edit again: Is their anyway I can use vBulletin 3.7 templates to give me some help in editing? Like, where they place things and such. I know direct copy and paste wouldn't work, but I would like at least a lead on this. Since I'm new to vBulletin and such. Any help would be great for me. |

If you need to use a template from 3.7, either download a 3.7 style and copy it from there (although it may not be a default template), or download version 3.7 from over in the vbulletin members area and install it as a new style (or you can look in the /install/vbulletin-style.xml file to find it).

Weird, I see no code difference in socialgroups_overview. They both have the same exact code. How can that be?
