The Faceoff Boards - Hockey Forums

Yep, every now and then I up this site up for opinions, whenever I make a drastic change really.

The style of the site is based off the vBSEO theme found here. Its been designed the way it as to integrate with the matching blog we're reviving.

Basically, I redid the style, cleaned up the tabs, and removed a lot of useless add-ons. Next step is getting the community back to life again - we've had a dull few months

Not bad, I like the tabbed forums bit.

Perhaps had a welcome header or change something to let people know what the forum. Not knowing anything about hockey, it toke me a few seconds to hit me.

Also, maybe tell people if it is a team forum, local forum etc.

Very good idea...reminded me I haven't installed welcome headers :P Thanks.

To be quite honest, it doesn't feel like a hockey forum. The theme, the header, everything doesn't make me think of hockey and is a turn off.

Well what would? Unless you want obtrusive and ugly graphics everywhere, I don't see how you can really give it the feel, to be honest.

Well that header isn't a bad start, nice and clean.. But what about matching colors? All that blue is extremely unnecessary.

You can also work on your status icons and other images to resemble hockey a bit more.
