How to Exclude forums from Similar Threads?

Hi,

How can I Exclude forums from Similar Threads section?

If someone can just point me to the right file where this sql query is, I think it should be possible just adding to that query something like ... WHERE forum id <> x ...

Please any help will be appreciated.

I just found this mod but is only for 3.6

Very often, mods from 3.6 will work fine in 3.8. Try it on your test site and see.

(If I recall correctly, that one just excludes listing threads from those forums. It doesn't stop it from grabbing threads from those forums when it first creates the similar threads list.)

No need for paid mods, play with this (for fulltext searching only - I use a much more involved version on my site and it works - you will need to rebuild similar threads for it though):
hook_location - search_similarthreads_fulltext

PHP Code:

I think I had to do it a bit differntly when we weren't using fulltext search, but I no longer have the code I used then.
