Long threads, page links, and scrolling solution?

Hello, I have a problem i'm pretty sure is a simple fix but i can't find it. Whenever you get a really popular thread that has lots of pages, you start getting the links at the bottom of the forum that show all of your page numbers as links. Like:
Page 25 of 25: < 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 ^

(that last ^ should face down)


This causes the pages to scroll really long to fit all these links in. I would really like to figure out how to make these links show more like this:

Page 25 of 25: < 1 2 3 4 ...... 25 ^

to prevent the scrolling and keep the page without having to scroll left or right.

Please help, my members are dying for a fix to this. Thanks!!
P.S. My VB version currently is still 3.6.8
