Set rights from FTP?
Is there any way I can set rights (Admin, moderator, etc.) for users via FTP? I dont have the ability to view our forum, or log into the admincp from my work, but I can access our site via FTP. I need to make someone a moderator, but I can't get into admincp..... any ideas? Thanks

Thanks for the quick response
Well, how about change a users password. If I could change my password, I could let someone else change the rights, but I don't want anyone to know the current password, because its used in multiple places...?

No data is actually stored in the files, it is all stored in the database. As mentioned by snakes, manipulation of the database can be achieved through phpMyAdmin.
