Is there something out there which can allow moderators and admins to edit ones post and add a special moderated message??

Custom BBCode with styling to create tags such as [mod], then download the modification that allows you to allow/disallow access to that BBCode to certain usergroups.

Mods can write a message in the Reason for Editing box also and the message will show up at the bottom of the post along with the edit time.
