Stored forum configuration?
Hi,
I'm going to install 6 new forums and I was wondering if there is the possibility of storing the configuration of the forum (groups, permissions, and all settings...). I always use the same policy/rules for all my forums and when I install a new forum I have to start it all again setting permissions, configuring the registration mode, etc. I was wondering if this info is stored in any files that I could just copy and paste in order to save time. Thank you in advance. Best regards, Hawork |

No, there is no simple way to do so and vb stores nothing in the files itself, all in the db.
Setup 1 new one the way you want it, then dump and import that new db into the next 5. |

You could possibly use ImpEx to import Usergroups only.

You can export settings and styles. If you also need forums & usergroups, then just create a copy and delete what is not needed.
