Monitor Private Messages

I don't mean to make it sound like "Big Brother", but is there a way that I may monitor Private Messages?
The only reason I would ask this is that we are having a member making threats and accusations thru PM's.

I'd like to be able to monitor those so that I can finally give this person the boot.
