I paid $120 for this script (who also claim free lifetime updates), this person allows his customer to download the product package directly from his site, however, in the package itself, he's NOT including the invitation_verify.php file which basically makes this script pretty much useless.

Everytime I contacted the guy, and when he does response he always say he's on vacation or had an accident and need times to recover.

It takes him roughly 5-8 days to response... it's been over 2 months ( right now, I'm still waiting for his reply and it's almost been 16 days now, still no luck..).

I paid the payment via Paypal.

Can a USA sue a person from India for such case? If so, would I lose money or regain my benefits?

Please give some insight and put this to justice.

Thanks all who replied,
-Minh

we have been providing contacts inviter solution for past 6 years now. we have more than 5000 customers and they are using our product effectively. our current versions are working good. i do understand, our customers having hard time since last few weeks. I have already cleared the honest reasons to all of you. The next upcoming release is very advanced one (which will be out in this or next week mostly) and we will be setting new milestones in contact inviters history with Oauth protocol support. My suggestion is, you should wait for the release. If you want to work on with our current version only then please contact our sales dept. Because of past few weeks being hard, we are providing 3 months free extension to all of our customer's licenses. If you want to discuss justice then please contact our legal dept.
P.S. please discuss full version issues at official website or contact us at our sales email address. I'm handling everything behind our lead developer Aditya now a days. I will try my best to answer your support emails. I have very limited knowledge of vBulletin. He used to handle vBulletin and backend libraries part of AdiInviter... that is why you are having hard time. And yes i do understand, these kind of things should not hamper customer support at all but our lead developer Aditya got seriously injured in bike accident is not something to make fun of. He was supposed to be back last week but due to surgeries he had, he is having hard time working. Anyway he is coming back on 23rd June 2010 and all of you will have an early view of our next release. We are also releasing new features in free version.

- Vinay
