my furom has 115000 posts, and that size is over 500MB why ? my attachments saved into my host, but why sql size is too big ? |

What about your avatars, profile pictures and signature pictures? Are they stored in the database or in the filesystem?

Have a look in phpMyAdmin, to see which tables take up the most space. That way, you can concentrate on finding solutions. Nevertheless, for a 100,000+ posts forum, a 500mb database is not extreme. In fact, it's about normal I think.

Table Name = Size MB
cronlog = 17.70 post = 116.84 postindex = 52.75 thread = 18.00 word = 19.32 and others, were less than 15MB and bigger than 5MB, like RSSLOG table was 9MB and many more ... |

That's +/- 250MB together. Strange that all those other, small tables together also take 250MB
