php text box help

Hi,
I hope this is in the right forum.
I have just started a new website and am trying to learn php, I have searched a lot of website and forums and couldnt find how to do what I am looking for, so was wondering if, sombody could help me with some code or point me in the right direction of a website with a tutorial.

I have attached a excel document, because that is the only way I know to demonstarte what I want the php to do.

its basically a text box where a user eneters a number, and their input is (X) using a formula.

Any help would be much appreciated
