If a member clicks on the New posts on the navigation bar then clicks to read one of the posts on a Thread, then after reading the member then clicks the New posts again, how can you stop it showing the same Thread again in the list of Threads in the new posts?

What type of forum marking are you using? Use one of the database marking types - not the cookie/inactivity one.
