Mass edit ratings

I haven't used the thread rating feature on my forum before, but I'm about to start.

Is there a way I can give all the old threads an average (3) rating?

You'd have to write/run a query to do this. There is no way to just automatically do it from the admin cp. I think you'd have to populate the threadrate table to do it.
