vbCover - Returng to Experts...
I - perhaps foolishly - purchased and installed - attempted to - vbCover's Magazine Bundle. I am now experiencing severe problems posting and thread problems at my board, not much helped by Lionel's virtual absence caused by an apparent problem with his server.
Situation: Hosted server, attempting to override vbCover's Magazine 1.5 version installation with product's upgrade to 2.0, giving me the following error message: Quote:
Being aware this may not be the right place to post this query, as it relates to an installation of a third-party mod, I still anticipate a true SQL-vBulletin expert may be of help to me. In other words; while being sympathethic to vbCover's recent inabiliyt to provide on-call and online support services, what I perhaps need most is someone who can assist me with this query. Help? Advice? Quick? Millions of thanks to respondents. |

Hi Friend,
Lionel is busy with his server for recovering data. Maybe he knows better than us. I wonder he has many good mods but dont storage it well somewhere. I am also crazy like you when vBcover pape has broken until now. Can you aks him to remote by teamvier to install it for you one more time? |

thanks for rapid reply;
Knowing and understanding his situation I am eager - believe me! - to get resolution on my issue. I was just wondering whether anyone could poperly interpret the SQL code I provided in my previous message, and if anoyone other than Lionel could provide assistance, assuming this would require just undestanding of SQL requirements and coding. I am still stuck - but thanks for your response! |

It looks like either the modification was not installed properly, or it wasn't uninstalled properly. If you have it installed, uninstall it and the error should go away. If you thought you already uninstalled it, make sure you removed all the files you had uploaded for it.

Thanks all for your feedback - appreciated...
However, still looking at that same error code after complete de- and re-install of the mod. Quote:
By the way - noticed that I cannot post anywhere on my board. Can reply to posts, but not open new threads. That could become a bit of a irritation I guess..... LOL Anyone know how to attack this one - quickly? Thanks ---- For what it's worth, this may also be helpful [well, not to me that is...] Quote:

If you think it is supposed to be installed, then uninstall it. Then see if you still have the error.
If you think it is supposedly uninstalled, then install it. Then see if you still have the error. |

Lynne - thanks for quick reply...
Just checking in with you - 'uninstall' as both the product and all files? |

Yes. Totally uninstall it and see if the problem is fixed.

Nope - no luck.
Followed your instructions completely, including deletion of all uploaded files and the product itself. Frustrating. Anything else I should/could/would try if I were you Lynne...? Thanks again. |

Look inside the Plugin Manager (this is below the Products Manager in the Admin CP menu bar), and check for any vbCover plugins.
