What are some good ways to attract people to your forum? Please post some good ideas and I can't wait to hear what you guys have to say.

More important than SEO is having exclusive content for visitors wanting to come and check out your website everyday.

100% correct.

A niche market. You gotta find that niche.

Try facebook. Register and make friends with your target audience. It's working really well for me. Was able to attract dozens to my site and not only that, most became members and are now posting / discussing things related to their interest on my forum.
