My RSS feed seems to take a couple of hours to update
Is this normal? Is there a scheduled task to check? |

Check your cron jobs in AdminCP.

Which job is it? I have had a look but can't see anything. I have just changed the cache time in the external settings so will see what that does

Are these feeds coming in to your site, or feeds that you, yourself are generating?
If they're incoming, the time is set via the RSS option in AdminCP. If it's a feed that you are generating, the frequency is set via Scheduled Tasks. Look for RSSFeeds. |

It is the feed I am generating.
The only Scheduled Task is for the incoming feeds the site posts

If you are talking about the external.php file of your site, then it should update as soon as there is a new *thread*. It doesn't not update based on posts.

It is possible to control HOW OFTEN your RSS Feed updates?! I don't want it to update instantly, I would like it to update every hour. Where is the code that would do this in the external.php.....sorry for bumping an old thread!!

Can you also use the RSS bot in the forum admin panel to auto-post YouTube videos as forum posts?
