Default How to add second sidebar in member profile

Does anyone know how I can add another sidebar exactly the same as the default sidebar but on the opposite side? I would really appreciate any help with this thank you.

It's probably not as easy as you think. You'll have to modify the profile templates to allow for an extra column, then replicate the code used to create those blocks (see member.php).

Im not wanting to use any of the data from the sidebar already there, all I want is a basic table inserted so it will show on the opposite side for an advert maybe.

Take a look at the way the page is layed out currently with the divs floating left and right. Now, go google something like "layout three columns css" and you'll find a page such as this - http://bluerobot.com/web/layouts/layout3.html . Take a look at the css for those three columns and then you need to incorporate that css into your design. As Hanson said, it isn't quite as easy as you probably want it to be. It's not impossible, but it isn't a matter of just changing a couple of lines and having it work.

(The easy way would be to just put a table around it and have a new column for your stuff and the second column for what is currently in the page. Putting a table there, though, kinda ruins what they were doing by having it all done via divs. I think that's an ugly solution, but it is a solution.)

Thanks, I might go for the table solution as it seems the easiest to implement, would this be the same as how you can wrap $forumbits in a table and say have one at 70% and the other at 30% for a forumhome sidebar?

Thanks.

EDIT: I got the table working now, shame it isnt divs but it still works and looks fine

Thanks for the help.
