How can the Header-Link be modified?
Well, I can?t find it in the templates and in the css. My goal is to change the URL which is "on the header" in the upper left. My Forum is in a subfolder www.mydomain.com/forum and the header-link should direct to www.mydomain.com.
When I change the url in the main settings, the link then is going right, but all the paths to vBulletin don?t work anymore. So in the settings the subfolder needs to keep inside. Best wishes, Julian! |

You can probably just modify it straight in the template. To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.

Well, that´s what I tried and I didn´t find it. I also searached inside of the templates for the gif-file which is shown inside of the header, but I couldn´t find it. That´s why I think it´s not found in the templates. I also didn´t see it in the css-files, and I have no other Idea, where to search. ;-)

You didn't say which template your search said it should be in, so I'm going to guess it's the header. You won't find your actual site url there, they are using the url from an option you input in vboptions > site name / etc. You'll find something like $vboptions[homeurl] or $vboptions[bburl]

Hi Lynne,
the $vboptions[homeurl] is only in one template, the footer. So it isn´t that one. looking for the $vboptions[bburl] there are some more templates, but most of them are templates from extensions. In the help-files and in vBa there is this variable, but nothing like the header or some of the "home"-templates. I really don´t understand where this link can be hidden. Any other Ideas? It is still really just the original template, all modificactions made with TMS, so it´s the official code. Best wishes, Julian! |

What template did you find this to be in using the method I outlined in post 2?
