vbulletin licensing question.. and what not.
My situation - my leased licenses are dieing in 5 days.
I have a seller, who has owned an OWNED vbulletin license since Feb 17th, its been 2 months, not three months yet. So it cannot be transferrable, however~ is it ok for me to just purchase it and use his login details? and in the account, just switch the URL to my site's? is this legit, and is this possible. vb.org has nothing to do with licensing. The best place to get an accurate answer to your question is at vb.com. You can probably send them a support ticket about the issue.

This is what vB.com will probably tell you: no, it shouldn't be done like that.
Note that this is my own guess - the comment is not to be taken as an official answer. |

If he does a chargeback on the license, which is probably what will happen, he'll have your cash, the license will be gone, you'll be left with nothing, and Jelsoft will not take any responsibility for your poor choice of actions.

According to the license agreement you are also not allowed to share your login details, so it would already be against the LA.
I would strongly advice against such a transaction because it is very likely you will be scammed as mentioned before, and nothing Jelsoft would be able to do to help you. |
