How do I do that on my own forum

(its a 3.8 forum)

are you wanting to add some smilies?? If so, just copy the smilies to your computer or disk. Then in your Admin CP under "Smilies" click add new smilie. Or to upload multiple smilies, upload the smilies to your forum via FTP, then click on "upload new smilies" and under the "Add Multiple Smilies" just type in the path to the smilies. Then click add smilies.

all I see is "how do I"..lol ??

ah, the image is there now.. weird

there is a mod to place smilies under the input box
have you tried searching the mods for "smilies" or "emotions"
