I lost the snappy quick reply

Before I upgraded to VB 3.8 when a user posted a reply the screen did not refresh but the last post was simply added to. I believe this was using AJAX ( I could be wrong and usually am) after the update I now get the full redirect page on any replies to a thread....

Anyone have any ideas?

Try this:
Create a new style with no parent:

• Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
• Parent Style: No Parent Style
• Title: Default vBulletin
• Allow User Selection: Yes
• Save

Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style and make a reply - are you still getting the full redirect or is the ajax working now?

Tried it but the same thing occurred, I got the full redirect page.....

Try disabling your modifications/plugins and see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

Don't forget that for vbseo, disabling the modification means to also get rid of anything extra you added to your htaccess file.

Yep that did it... Now what... how can I tell what caused the problem?

You have to go through your modifications one-by-one to see which one is causing the problem.

it happened to me once..replies always redirect,but when i removed the last plugin that i installed,it worked. .You have to remember which is the last plugin tha you installed before that happen and remove it.
