Default Move Upcoming Events

Came looking for info on moving Upcoming Events to the top of the page. I found a lot of inquiries relating to the same thing but no solution. Sometimes the simple solutions escape me as in this case until I tried using a Notice. Since they accept HTML is just viewed source, copied and modified to what I wanted. Not totally hands off but thought I'd share.

I've found a better way to do it than posted above and since I'm still seeing inquiries on moving the Upcoming Events to the top of the page and posted info on how to do it in this thread: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...pcoming+events

Attached is an example of how mine looks. I use the Random Image mod to put rotating images on each side of the Upcoming Events for a bit of visual interest as well.

None. I changed the way I did it so when an event is posted to the calendar it shows up on the top of the page instead of in "What's Going On"

First I used the variable replacement and changed </div><div> to <br /> which gives the Upcoming Events a line by line display.

I used code similar to this below the navbar:

<!-- upcomingevents -->
<table class="tcat" cellpadding="$stylevar[cellpadding]" cellspacing="$stylevar[cellspacing]" border="1" width="100%" align="center">
<tr>
<td bgcolor="xxxxxxx" valign="top">
$upcomingevents
</td>
</tr>
</table>
<!-- /upcomingevents -->

Then I used the "Events on Forum Pages" mod by Farcaster so the upcoming events show on all pages. Yes, it works on 3.8.4

HTH!
