When members try to register on the site, they enter their birthdate, click accept for the rules and then click next. They then get an error saying they have left a required field blank.

VFKForums.com is the site affected.

Can anyone help, please?

Try this:

Create a new style with no parent:

Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
Parent Style: No Parent Style
Title: Default vBulletin
Allow User Selection: Yes
Save

Set this as the default style and try to register. Do you still have the problem?
