I'm confused on how to change the colours of the background, bars and such on my forum.
I found out it is partially done by some .gifs, but I can't find out how the rest is done.

Tried to search here and in the vBulletin Manual but couldn't find it. I don't want to use a style/template since I want to change it to my liking.

you change the colours using your main CSS

admincp -> styles and templates -> style manager -> style your using -> from the drop down box select -> Main CSS

change what colours you want there
