Taking up too many resources!
This week I have been told by my web host that it has come to their attention that our account database has been flagged up by the administrators for taking up too many resources on the database server. "There has been a performance drop on the server due to the resources that are been taken up by your database."
I have tried to reduce te server load by switching off various plugins/hacks. However, I am now being told by 1&1: "Please don't store sessions in the database. Use a flat file instead. You can try storing the in /tmp. Thanks." How do I do that? |

You can't, not without a lot of custom coding.
Get a better host or hosting account or upgrade to a VPS. |
