Outlook 2007
I am having a weird issue setting up my webmaster@mysite.com using outlook. Does anybody know a link or how to set up email for our server using Outlook 2007?
Thanks! |

I think there's already a mini tutorial in cpanel to setup email clients.
Btw use Mozilla Thunderbird instead of ms outlook, you'd love it. |

vBulletin does not handle the mail server - it is merely a piece of forum software.
If your hosting has a control panel, logion to that and see if there is any documentation there. Alternatively, contact your host directly. |

1. If this is a cpanel server, you have to set your user name to your email account, you can not use "backyvan" as the user name, it must be "beckyvan@domain.com", that is a default requirement of cpanel, you can change that, but that requires a file change to the a smtpd auth file.
2. If your having issues sending out email from outlook, then your ISP doesn't allow relaying thru their service, ie you set your outgoing mail server in outlook to mail.yourdomain.com, that host is not allowed to relay thru your ISP's service, you will be required to use their outgoing mail server. |
