Album Images Lost in Server Move
This past weekend we moved our vBulletin forum to a new and more reliable hosting service. I took great care in making sure everything was backed up properly and restored on the new server. So far things are going very well and the new hosting server is FAR more reliable.
BUT most of the images in people's albums somehow got lost in the transition. Not all of them...for example, the images people were using for the tiles on their profile page backgrounds got transferred okay. But other images that people were sharing in their albums got lost somehow. ((And no, I didn't use Telnet or SSH....had to use a little more clunky method...but all the custom avatars and so on made it through just fine....it was just the album pictures that got lost)) Am I missing someplace in the files where these images are stored? Or am I correct in assuming that they just got corrupted or lost somehow in the database move. Any insights into this. It's not the end of the world since we are a discussion forum and not an image hosting service. But you know how it is, folks tend to whine and complain about anything these days no matter how good they have it. :erm: Thanks in advance for any help or thoughts on this. |

We never set up anything other than what vBulletin has already coded into its system for albums. So I'm assuming it was in the db. |

Go into the Admin CP (old or new, it does not matter), and check where that are stored.
