Languages
Hey,
I'm looking for some way to replace certain parts of the English (US) language file. I've made all the mods on my langauge file, via the Language Manager and i've downloaded my new Language file. Now, is there anyway, I can upload that to other boards via the Language Manager and the parts in the modified file overwrites the parts in the origional English (US) language? Basicly, I want to be able to share my modified language file with friends, but I don't want them to loose any parts they've modified.... Is there away I can make a 'mod' out of it? Thanks! --------------- Added [DATE]1236542805[/DATE] at [TIME]1236542805[/TIME] --------------- Bumb, Anyone? --------------- Added [DATE]1236542957[/DATE] at [TIME]1236542957[/TIME] --------------- bumb* |

Sorry but i don't get what you want. An English language file should not have translations to other languages.

No, i'm looking to change part of the lang, e.g. in my case change the Social Groups to Clans but make it do it automaticly, without having to change the lang file (i've already changed it on one, and exported the 'new' file.

Ok i am trying to understand what you are trying to do. If i understand correct, you want to create a modification that uses the standard vBulletin phrase for social groups, but you want to rename it to "clans"?
If so, i would suggest you use your own phrases, as the default phrases might be used on many places, some of which (AdminCP for example) you don't want to change. |

Thanks for the reply
I'll have a look into doing that now But how do i make the social groups respond to a differnet phrase? The idea is that you don't have to 'change' the language to see the mod |
