This is a very easy question, as far questions go on vbulletin

When a user has finished editting their signature or avatar etc ... they get linked to the usercp ... how can I stop that so they stay on the page they are dealing with?

Is there a way to stop the user from going to their usercp everytime they edit options, details etc ....

after having saved the information it redirects ... is there an edit I can do?

Have you tried looking at the code source for that page? For signatures, it looks like it is the profile.php page under do=editsignature and the action is updatesignature. If I go to the file and look for that do statement (updatesignature), I see the code starting around line 2209 and you'll see the info about the redirect around line 2419.
