How do i disable keyboard shortcuts?

Hello,

How do I disable the function and notification of the keyboard shortcuts?

For example on my quick reply the tooltip comes up with "(Alt + S)" I'd like those to be hidden and non functional.

I am pretty sure vbulletin does not define those, they are universal browser functions (unless you change them in your browser). So, I don't think you can make them non-functional. You may remove the tooltip part in the SHOWTHREAD template - just go to edit it and do a find on "alt + s" and delete the title part of the input field.

Actually, they are embedded inside the templates using the "accesskey" parameter. You will have to edit the QR templates to remove these.

Hmm so no clean way to override this? Eeek... I'm limiting myself to modifications that don't require source changes or hacks that make it difficult to upgrade... I guess i can do another replacement variable...

Guess I care because I'm starting to get more OSX based users on my board. Would this be something that the folks at VB might consider a bug?

Um, what is wrong with OSX users? We can use accesskeys also. We just use control + s instead of alt + s. But most of us have figured this out since we have lived in a PC world for a long time now.

I know. I just hate that it would be hard-coded in for PC specific use when its a web app. I use both platforms so its normal for me as well, but just trying to strip things from VB that get in the way you know.

That doesn't leave too many modifications, does it? Just use a modification like TMS (by Andreas) to handle all the template edits.
