How do I pull data from a non VBulletin table into new threads?
Hi, I am hoping someone can help with something I have been struggling with for some time.
I have about 10 different fields in a nonvb table that I want to dynamically pull the data from to populate a thread. I have about 1000 rows so doing this manually will take too long. I want the data from the 10 different fields to be organized in a certain way so it is consistent for all threads. So I have two main questions. 1) How do I "automatically" pull each row of data (10 variables) and put them into a new thread? Ideally the thread will be newly created as I run the code and the data will populate the thread. 2) How do I organize the data in specific way so the thread looks organized? I want the 10 variables to be put in a table. Also if I ever change the layout of the table I want this to be retroactive so that all previous threads take on this new look and feel. Does anyone know if this possible and how to do it? Thanks. Any help will be appreciated. |

You can and should create threads by using the ThreadPost Data Manager. There are some articles going around about data managers, as well as the documentation in the vBulletin Manual: Data Managers.
