Default I've been stamped...

in the last 2 days, i've been looking at a hobby we could start with the 3 older kids in the house... and as i've been a great fan of stamps with a major collection when i was young, i thought it would be a good idea to start a collection at least with the older one...

so i shoped a little, and found 2 small packs of stamps with 3 albums where to store these pieces of paper... one album for each kid, because they want to "own" their own stuff.

so this afternoon we started looking at the stamps, finding themes for each kids collections... and my wife started her own pack on her own side...

So today, we're having a mountain of 10 000 stamps in the middle of the kitchen table tonight, as the kids are not interested to clean the place...

so, what do you do when you have a lot of time to loose?

i do that just to have quality time with the kids...

I would say is healthy to start activities as a family [Congrats] no family man yet but I will wait for the right time to see what my kids prefer or the trend in place

you're right Josh... but a positive point would be to have an history... if you can't say "when i was young i had this".... your kids will think you had no life...

so when you are young, you need to have hobbies, or you will have nothing to say to your kids... i suppose i had no other life, because i had plenty of hobbies... lol... living in the country was positive, playing in the woods or fields during the day, having stamps and music in the evening...

My husband thinks I'm nutz with this kind of stuff. I let the 3 yr old play with glue sticks and paper scissors when he was one (the safe scissors they give small children). They'd use at least 5 glue sticks in one sitting and have it all over the table but you just cant get that kind of thought inducing activity any other way. LOL Now the 3 year old can cut out a pattern on a paper better then the 11 yr old. haha They like the stamps too. I just dont like when they stamp themselves all up. To young for body art. haha

Have you actually been "stamped"? LOL Pics please.....

There you go. That could entertain you for awhile.

How old are your kids... Maybe you could do something modern like Disney Land Paris.
