Default Spam Text Messaging???URRRRRRG
So now we are subjected to spam via text messaging? Just great! Isn't there anything private any more. Got my first 10 today. THANKS VERIZON!

10? Today?! I think I have maybe got that many the whole time I have had a cell which is like 12 years or something...

I know, I didn't seem them until now when I realized I had text messages which I rarely use. Oh man, I should have waited to delete them and posted them here. One was obviously some sex thing just by the url they sent with it.

10 in one day seems extreme.
I think I've maybe had 5 total, and those where from offers I signed up for.

ps.. I've never called that "opt-out" number for any of our phones... I personally think that's a bunch of BS, but that's just me..

Vodafone does this crap as well...
I only keep it cuz i've got domains rented with them...

same..

get a sms spam/commercial once a year or so, and then again its only
from my tele provider saying they got a better offor or something.
no "external" spam :up:

quite happy about it

Is your cellphone number on the National Do Not Call list?

https://www.donotcall.gov/

If it is and has been more than 31 days then you can lodge a complaint, even if its your own cellphone company sending the messages. I have had all my phone numbers, even my skype-in number, on the list for years. I never receive telemarketing calls and have never received an unsolicited text message. During elections I receive sequential dialing messages from political campaigns but they are often considered charitable organizations and exempt from the do not call list.
