I've finished doing a Great Drop Down Menu ~ But !!!!
Hi Guys
Just finished creating a really easy and VERY nice Drop down menu for VBulletin, The Css is finished, The HTML is done, The graphics are neutral, which looks great on the default VB. Members will be able to change colors via the code, so in all it will be a great VB hack, But..... I need your help here guys and this is what i want. I want to know what YOU would like to see on your New Drop Down Menu I need to know as soon as possible as i will try and release this for all to share this weekend, completely FREE Here on VB.Org So say you want a tab called "Quick Links" like the quick links dropdown on here it also shows - Mark forums read, Calendar, Whos online etc... But lets not copy VB's one, lets make our own of what we would like to see. So basically i'll need the main tab name, and the sub links below a bit like below QUICK LINKS Mark forums read Calendar Whos online NEXT MENU TAB Sub link Sub link etc... List all your ideas and wishes, Tommorrow i will collate everyones ideas and make the Drop Down menu ready for release this weekend All member will need to do is to replace "Yourforum.com" in the menu links to that of their own site. Another idea i was playing with was to also include external links, say like google or an IP checker, something which could be useful to the admins and members. Keep your ideas coming for the Menu structure, and any other ideas you may have, By tommorrow night i'll take the most suiatable and incorporate it in the new Drop Down menu. if you want a tab that dosn't need dropdowns, thats cool also, Give me your ideas Thanks |

I would just leave it as the basic vbulletin list for release, but maybe list some ideas in your text file, or second post, and how to change it up. For instance, I have a Mod Links section on my Quick Links. I have a couple of scripts I wrote just for the Mods and they are listed there. Some people don't like the FAQ in the navbar, so maybe that would be something good to put in Quick Links. I added a View All Groups under Social Groups in the Community Tab - my users liked that. We put a lot of site stuff into our FAQ, so I actually like the FAQ in the navbar and have several links under the FAQ dropdown to important sections in our FAQ.

I want to toy with the idea of incorporating a Paypal Donation Button within the Tabs, Know the only link i can see that will work is if the paypal member adds a donate link on their site temporarily, and then click on that link to get the url to their donation page, I tried this on a site yesterday, but it seems to throw up errors, Is there an easy way to do this??? (to get the donation page url??) Keep them coming folks |
