RSS feed
I've attempted to setup the New York Times as an RSS feed, but when I run the "Preview Feed", I receive and error:
XML Error: mismatched tag at Line 57 What does this error mean? |

What is the exact link you are using for the feed and what are your settings for it in the RSS Feed manager?

URL of Feed: http://www.nytimes.com/pages/index.html?partner=rss Enabled: Yes I have a user ID set as poster Convert HTML to BB Code: Yes The only setup that the Times offered was all in HTML and I extracted the link from that. I wasn't sure that would work. I've never used the RSS and I don't really know what I'm doing. I'm really not sure how to acquire the proper links. Thanks for your help! |

I get the same error with that link. I just clicked on it and it is definitely not an rss feed. If you go to the bottom of that page, you'll see a link to the rss feeds - http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/index.html Pick one from there.

I just looked at every one they have. All of them are full pages of HTML.
Can you show me an example of a RSS feed URL that works on a site? Perhaps if I know what it is I'm looking for, it'll help. The Times doesn't have a single URL listed in any of their "RSS" areas. Just entire HTML scripts that would be used on a standard HTML web page. |

I just grabbed the link of one randomly - http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/Books.xml and it makes posts like this:

After right clicking on the link, copying the link, and using it as the URL in the appropriate location, it worked great. Thank you for your help and patience. |
