how do i just have the drop down menu ^^^ and not have the smilies box on the right >>>

There is a mod to add the drop-down smilies to the Quick Reply box, but I don't think I've ever seen a mod to replace the whole box in Post Reply/New Thread with a drop-down. Did you try searching "smil*" "all mods" "titles only"?
