Need ideas: Making a forum as user-friendly as possible
There is one specific forum on my site for guides that I'd like to make as non-threatening and easy to use for readers as possible.
The subject matter is normally seen in PDF's and books, which is great for readers since a book or PDF will start with general concepts, and slowly reveal more complicated topics in later chapters. A forum is just a mish-mash and can be challenging for readers trying to learn something new. Any ideas to make things easier on readers and lurkers? Any mods you've found that help? My only idea so far is to change the default thread fields to something more relevant to the subject matter, and I found this hack to do it: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=194918 If anyone else has ideas on making a guide forum more readable, I'd love to hear them. |

Would like this too, just made a upgrade from phpBB and people are not posting like they were so it appears as if they are not fully aware of how the new forum works.
I am planning on doing a camrecording of showing how to use the basic features and stuff and i hope that will help a little. |
