moderation drop down
OK got an interesting one. I had a mod tell me when see moves a thread, or tries to move a thread, the only option she gets is copy thread.
Here is a pic to show you what I mean. Example. I have a Forum called The Spot, she clicks on the spot and the first 20 or so threads pop up to view. Each thread has a box at the end to tick or untick. If you tick a thread, you can drop to the bottom of the screen and use the moderation drop down box and choose move thread. When the next screen comes up it looks like this; Any ideas as to why there is not a move thread there? |

There is no Copy Thread option in the Move Threads page that you can get to using the moderation drop-down menu (you can get there if you are in the thread and hit Copy Thread, but not if in a thread and hit Move Thread). It sounds like you installed a modification to do this. Are you sure that modification is compatible with 3.8?

When we click MOVE THREAD in the moderaton drop down, the next page has COPY THREAD in it and no, there is no add on or modfication that I know of and I am the one who change things if and when they need changed.

I'll say this another way.... the next page should NOT have Copy Thread in it, so something is screwing up the output of that page. That page should use the threadadmin_movethreads template and copying the thread is not an option in there. (There is no option to Mass Copy threads - users have been asking for this option for a while but it has not been added.) So, something is causing another template to be used on that page than should be used.
Do you have any sort of modifications that deal with moderation tools at all? Does this happen to you at all? What happens if you disable your plugins - does it still happen? Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php PHP Code:

I get this error
Fatal error: Call to undefined function print_portal_output() in /home/siteusernamehere(edited for security)/public_html/forum/main.php on line 46 |

You get that error when you do what?
vB doesn't have a file called main.php or a function called print_portal_output, so I'm not sure what those errors are from except that it must be from a modification. |

I've also manually disabled EVERY plugin I have and it still shows copy thread after selecting a thread to move then choosing move in the moderation drop down box at the bottom right corner of the page.

It is probably also a template edit. You can either look at the template and see if it has been modified, or create a new style with no parent - Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style > no parent - then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style and see if this still happens.

is there a specific template I should look at for the inline mod problem? May make a copy of it, then revert and see if it still shows the copy feature? I will go try the new style now.
--------------- Added [DATE]1229564141[/DATE] at [TIME]1229564141[/TIME] --------------- ok I didn't even need to make a new style. I switched to another skin I had, and when doing the same type of moderation. It shows move thread instead of copy thread. So somewhere in my current skin I'm using that copy thread go it there. Again which php template can I find that and I'll either copy it to my current skin from the other one that works, or try the revert on it. Thanks for all your help so far! |

As Lynne said, it's threadadmin_movethreads.
