My moderators tell me they don't have any moderation tools in the thread tools drop down! They also tell me when they try to move a thread it only gives a copy thread option instead of move thread thenif they do that and submit to send to another location it says they can't do it.
Any ideas or permissions I can check??? VB 3.7.4 pl 1 |

I'd start by checking the permissions in Forums & Moderators > Show All Moderators.
I'd also create a test user and make them a Moderator for now so you can see exactly what your Moderators are seeing. |

I have a test moderator for myself and it shows nothing at all under the thread tools, when you go into a thread.
I will look again in the permissions again. --------------- Added [DATE]1229131904[/DATE] at [TIME]1229131904[/TIME] --------------- still no luck! |

Are you sure you checked the correct permissions page? People sometimes mistakenly go to the usergroup permissions page instead of moderator permissions.

It could be because of the skin your using (past experience), try using the original VB theme.
If the problem still occurs, try creating a NEW user group with same permissions ect and see if you can access the tools. |

When you added your users as moderators, did you go to the Forum Manager > Add New Moderator and assign them to forums or did you just put them in the usergroup? If you just put them in the Usergroup, then they won't even be showing up on the page we are talking about (Show All Moderators) because that isn't how to add moderators to a forum.

We've used the same for a long time and it's woked before. I'll look some more.

Also try disabling your modifications. Some modifications add options to the moderation tasks drop-down. This may mess it up (sometimes).
