I own a large forum, and thus need to be careful about what I'm doing during popular hours. Username changes are somewhat intensive. We try to perform username changes around midnight, but even at those times, there are roughly 200 people on. The username changes end up taking a couple of minutes at most, but that's a couple minutes too many. We just can't be experiencing these downtimes every other night. Does anyone have any solutions to this problem? Are there any mods currently available which could allow for scheduled username changes to occur at 3AM?
The obvious answer is to simply disallow users to change their usernames. However, that is not an option in most cases. If anyone has put any thought into this, I'd appreciate an answer. Thanks! - Xiris |

Have you tried the username request Mod? I don't think it can schedule name chnages, but it would make the whole process much simpler.

Xiris, I use the mod from above and it really works well, you can approve or deny depending on what you want to approve. Need some screenies? It's a GREAT mod...
