stop thread subscriptions
I would like to know if there is a way in vbulletin and/or via a mod/hack to stop everyone from being able to subscribe to threads
I'd like to do it either globally for everyone or if it can be done based on usergroup, that would be cool too Thanks for any help you guys/gals can offer |

There is no option to just turn it off. You can turn off the Daily and Weekly subscriptions in the Scheduled Tasks. I'm not sure about the Instant ones. And then if you want you can go through all the templates and remove the option. You'd want to turn on this option - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes - and then go to every page where you can subscribe, find the template, and then edit out the line. You could also just remove the subscription.php file or put a no permission at the top of it.

was hoping there would be a mod for this, but I guess not i give those a try and see how I make out ( not sure on what you mean by putting no permission at the top of it but, will investigate it further ) |
