Anti Virus and Firewall for Vbulletin ?

Is there a Anti Virus and Firewall to be installed at the host to be run with Vbulletin ?

It can be paid for sure.

You don't need either of those specifically for vbulletin, however it is good practice to ensure you have them on your server.

Any host worth its salt will already have done all this, so ask the host if they have these things enabled and maintained. If they say no then close your account and find a different host.

Normally host have their own firewall and virus scan system but they never let us know how effective those can be, specially for those ones using shared host and not privete ones.

I'm looking for something that I can manage and control 100%, got the idea ?

You can't really install a proper firewall if you are on a shared host. If you are worried about the security of the server you are currently on, and you have shared hosting - I'd suggest you move to a host where you do trust them...

vBFirewall is more trouble than it's worth. It will block some default vBulletin functionality.

I've tried vBFirewall for sure and that's was the reason I was trying to find something else available even if I had to pay for it.

In fact, the concept of vBFirewall is great but it's still has some bugs, it was blocking Searching Engines on my board for example.
