I was looking for something and could not find it so I'm going to put out a request :-)

I was curious if it is possible to create something that will allow you to list certain words etc.. and anywhere in vBulletin Posts it will highlight and bold that word

See I run a Fan Site Forum setup and I want to find something that highlights names of actors/actresses/writers and shows

So I can place certain words into the control panel and then where ever that word is in a post that word is bold/highlighted and stands out..

That's my request :-) I know very very little about this stuff and was looking for a hack that was already made but could not find it..

I use vBulletin 2.0.0 beta 5

and can find very little hacks for that version .

You can use the replacement variable system to do this..

You would put the word in the word to look for and your formatted text into the replacement. Then everytime it is showed it would be replaced...

ie:
Look For: Tom Cruise
Replace With: <font color="$FF0000"><b>Overpaid Actor</b></font>
