What happens to people who scam on vb.org
Im very curious as to what happens when someone reports they have been scammed and ripped off by members of vb.org.I wont mention name(s) as from my view you care more about protecting them than the user who was scammed.
I reported 3 weeks ago to 2 admins on here that my current paid request was going nowhere and even gave permission for admin to read my pms on here, and what happened - Nothing - did`nt even get a reply back. So what happens when they are reported as being scammers as i think we have a right to know. This is not a whinging post - its just a question that needs answering. |

sadly... not much happens to them
I've reported a few scammers or even warez owenrs, and they still roam this place. hence why I put that text in my sig a month ago, just do background checks and talk to them on the phone you are putting a lot of trust in them, one guy that I'm sure will comment on this thread unless my reply scares him, has admitted to "borrowing" a clients DB within the clients knowledge... there are many worse things that have been done, just using that as an example your data is the most important thing on your site, without it you have nothing, if someone takes it, they can make your whole site and email the members to get them over... just be careful |

Did you read the two announcements at the top of that forum?

Disclaimers are fine but what happens if all goes wrong. So with them disclaimers you are saying if you get scammed then you on your own as we told you to do your homework 1st.This service is provided on this board so some onus must fall back on them.Waste of time passing the buck im afraid.
Anyway my thread is not about disclaimers, its about what happens to those who scam people and sometimes rip them off for hundreds of $. Are they allowed to carry on as if nothing happen - ready to pounce on the next unsuspecting member. (Note - even searching the board etc and checking out the person is no gurantee you are not going to get scammed). In my view they should have their access to the Paid request section removed - at least till they can prove they have made admends. Not to much to ask is it. I find it really annoying to see the person who scammed me,still able to take on more work from here. |

As you are already aware...
3rd party services are not endorsed by Jelsoft nor vbulletin.org If you hire anyone, you do so at your own risk. I'm not sure what you are seeking but we are not responsible for any transactions that take place here. We also do not talk about administrative actions in public. I will say this... We have taken action on a few people. closing thread |
