How do I properly config Vbulletin on 775 permissions?
I need help and I'm hoping someone here can come through big time. My host does not allow for CHmod777, as a result we have to host our attachments on the actual database causing it to explode in size. When I spoke with my host they said that CHmod775 or CHmod755 should work just fine for what I'm trying to do. The problem is that VB keeps looking for 777 and is coming back with errors. They explained that I have to find the correct file and edit it so that it will work with 775 or 755. Does anyone have any idea where and how to do this?

I don't see why it wouldn't accept 755 for the attachment folder, but if you asked at vBulletin.com and they told you what file you needed to edit, just follow the instructions they gave. You'll need to download the file from your FTP, edit it, then reupload it.

Well that's part of the problem they won't tell me what file to edit. They told me I had to come here for custom code.
