How many of you don't send out registration activation emails for your forum?
I'm debating turning off the registration activation emails for my website. I've been having nothing but problems with Yahoo and Hotmail, and the users of my forum are about the furthest thing from computer literate you can get. I do have a registration question which has done an awesome job of keeping spam and bots away. What do you guys think?

minimum I require is an activated email, you are asking for trouble in the longterm otherwise

I don't use them. I never have. I do have a couple of spam hacks installed - the one that looks at the registration time and then another which is a one-touch ban and delete posts type hack.
