Default Can't get rid of colour

There is a border which i am trying to change, but it doesn't appear to change colour - it is faint blue lines running vertically along either sides. It is located at the top box where the breadcrumbs sit:

How can I change the colour of these two lines?

Those look like basic table borders. Look at the table and see if there is a bordercolor assigned for it. The navbar one is by default defined by the class tborder. So, you can either change that class or get rid of the class assignment and put in your own style.

Table has no borders in the extra field, it is transparent, the footer just has the top border, and when I tell it to apply a border to all edge, the footer does just that, but the top nav area as in the pic, only applies it to the to and bottom, maintaining those same blue colours.

I can't seem to find it, which is the strange thing. Where else can I look?

It's very hard to just tell. You really need to play with your css (put in extreme colors where you think it may be so it's very obvious if you found the correct class) or ask the person who designed your style.

I deleted the entire CSS box at the end, and still those borders were there, it must be something else then?

The person who designed my style refused to give any support. Probably someone that wants a quick buck without any hard work.

So now that the CSS can be excluded, what else is there? It's now getting a bit silly, there mst be a way to remove these borders?!

If you use firefox, get a plugin like firebug or the Web Developer Toolbar which can help you figure it out. That is what I would do. Other than that, look at your page source and see what classes those borders could fall under and modify those classes in the Main CSS. It could be a basic class like tborder that is not one at the bottom of the page but one of the main classes.

The way I usually do it is take a screenshot paste it into paintshop pro or photshop and put the colour selector on it, double click on the colour on the tools and it will tell you the hex code for the colour, then just use ctrl+f and search for all instances of that hex code.

I have the firefox plugin but its not very good as this is a very very thin line.

I'll try it in PS.

--------------- Added [DATE]1226239622[/DATE] at [TIME]1226239622[/TIME] ---------------

just tried it in PS now, and still it can't find it on the page. I then searched all templates and there it was, sitting the navbar template.

Finally...thanks!
