users disappearing from who's online list
i have a problem with who's online list
for example... there are say 10 users currently online and are visible on who's online list A moment later the who's online list is empty (except my nick). When i go to profiles of the users i remember seeing a second ago they appear ONLINE! There are users online yet they aren't visible on the list how is that possible? When those users change location/post or something, they gets to be visible again It's NOT the inactivity timeout as it's set to 15 minutes and also...if that timeout ocurrs they should be OFFLINE. i'm using the 3.7.3 vbulletin with vbadvanced thanks in advanced |

When they all disappear from the Who's Online page, are they still listed on the Currently Active Users list on the index.php page or are they temporarily gone from there too?

Does your MySQL server restart often?

the who's online list (in CMS) and currently active on index of the forum are showing the same
so yes they disappear from there too. Hm indeed our hosting isn't really the most stable but during that time i didn't notice any problems connecting to the forum |

Your MySQL server maybe resetting or dropping the connections, or maybe even restarting often. Even if its for a split second, it'll reset stuff like that, and you may notice no connectivity issues.

Yep, my guess would be that mysql is restarting. I had this sort of thing going on on my site after we upgraded to mysql 5. I would ask your host to check the mysql error logs and see if it has been restarting.

also... users who don't have set the "remember me" option frequently have to log in ...
and again it's NOT the timeout... |

If mysql is resetting itself randomly, that can account for users being frequently logged out. You should get that problem taken care of and then see if those users are still having problems.
